INTERNATIONAL MARTIAL ARTS CELEBRITY JOINS DINOTO KARATE
Peter Liciaga accepts position at local martial arts studio

Mt. Laurel, NJ-Dinoto Karate Center is proud to announce that international actor and martial artist, Peter Liciaga, has accepted the position of assistant instructor. Peter Liciaga, an actor for over 15 years, is a third degree black belt and the European Olympic Sparring Champion. He has trained in the martial arts for over 25 years and was the featured martial artist in June 1999 issue of Budo Karate magazine.

Liciaga has enjoyed success starring in shows West Side Story, Jesus Christ Superstar, Once on this Island and Sesame Street Live. Peter recently returned from Europe where he performed the role of Rocky 2 in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Starlight Express.

"I have performed in front of thousands of people all over the world and I wanted to do something that would not only change lives but help make this world a better place - I wanted to do more than just share in a few minutes of applause. I wanted to be involved - hands on - and share in lives," explains Liciaga.

"I first started karate growing up in the Bronx. Being in the tough area, I had to learn how to defend myself. However, as an adult, I realize that martial arts can be used as a tool to instill great character. It can build not only a stronger and healthier body, but also develop great self-discipline and self-respect."

Michael Dinoto, President of Dinoto Karate, adds, "We knew Peter was a special the minute we met him. Aside from being an excellent technician , Peter also has the inner qualities that make a great martial arts, including humility. As a matter of fact, we didn't know he was a celebrity until a few months after he was training in our school! We are honored and flattered that he has accepted this position and look forward to a long relationship with him."
